I still use since years the Sennheiser wireless with great success and practically no problems at rehearsals and on gigs.
As Jim Nugent once pointed out seconded by Charlie Hall they still believe a cable-wire has a greater capacitance than a wireless. But still development is always in progress, and as long as one cannot hear a difference than one can go for the comfort.

I'm using the new Alesis wireless system and everyone who has heard it coments on how good it sounds
both transmitter and receiver work on 2 AAA batteries although receiver can also use power supply.
Really pleased with it.

Hi all,

as said in my reply above, development is still going on, and I had the privilege to test the latest Neutrik (a Liechtenstein company) Xirium (DIWA) Technology.
Stunning, and absolutely studio (cableless) quality: but also has it`s price. Anybody any experience with that device?

Given that the Line 6 is indistinguishable from a high quality cable and has a BIG range, NO interference and is of top build quality, what does spending four times as much get you?

Hi Noel,

if you have a look at the features and possibilities of the Xirium set (using it for a whole band as PA input e.g. for a Bose L1) and a look at the transfer rates it is - as I mentioned - a new technology.(DIWAS) For normal use I still stick to my special cables (cheapest version) and the sennheiser unit.
And after all, as long as everybody is satisfied acoustic-wise and from the comfort on stage, you are right, no change needed. But i thought for the members a valable alternative to check out.
