In that case, it must have left Bruce's possession very soon after the filming (which, if memory serves, was in late 1966).

Bruce had his/or a green Marvin long after Finders Keepers, indeed, Ade Bartholomew posted a pic of him playing it at Bruce's home. During the same visit, he posted other pics including the 'strat' and its case and contents.

The one in the pic is definitely Bruce's. It didn't have the hub to screw the Tremelo in and now black binding round the back of the trem arm. Check the pics of him using it!! Perhaps the date on the receipt is wrong.

He certainly didn't have it in late 1969 when I had the discussion with Hank and John at Stockton Fiesta Club.

Yes that's true, it was just after I met Hank when he was doing a double act with John Farrar, can't remember if it was 1972 or 73. He told me his Burns guitars had be stolen from the van outside the Palladium. He wasn't that keen on having replacements as he now had a new Strat bought from Barrats of Manchester.
His green Burns was in the hands of a guitar vocalist in Sunderland at Grindon club where he was on the bill with us. He bragged that it used to be Hank's and knowing that Hank had lost his through theft, I took down the serial number and it's still in the back of my diary for that year. I did call Saville entertainments, but they weren't fussed about it. I'll dig out that diary, it's with all of my other seventies diaries in a memorabilia box somewhere. When I do I'll put the serial number on here. ;)

There's another picture of Bruce's greenburst Marvin in Per Gjorde's book - p.79.

It won't be, Stuart. Colin's cousin and I were bandmates and I am very familiar with the story of how he came by this instrument. I am in touch with Colin if you would like further info.

Hi Alan,

I've most of those pictures made by Ade in my collection and on all it was the white Burns Marvin (with that small hole in the tremelo base plate, because John Farrar used it and there was no original rezo-tube tremeloarm pressent and they use one of a strat ...)
Incl. the 343436 and a black Vega with Burns Nu-sonic pu's.
Bruce pulled the original 343436 tweedcase from a low space (kinda "below the stairs") closet.

Cheers Rob
