I used the Joyo AC Tone on a couple of gigs this week but fed it straight into the return socket on the back of a peavey session amp (15" speaker) therefore bypassing the amps preamp. Along with a Hughes And Kettner replex and the Joyo AC, b bender tele, sound was superb (country/Rockabilly Gigs).....i'll buy one of the Zooms MS70cdr next couple of weeks.

Just be aware that it is fiddly to work with until you get your head around it, but it is worth the effort. :)

I'm going to take the MS-70CD to our gig tonight and put it through it's paces. In at the deep end. :)

I'm glad you hung on in there with the CDR70 Dave, it is well worth it. Best cut price echo pedal on the market right now.

Been sort of half thinking of buying one of these units and quite taken when i saw em for £58 at thomann, but with no stock. Suddenly they have jumped up to around £85 still no stock. Most companies seem to be low stock, so anyone seen them at a reasonable price anywhere(skinflint  )
Thanks

I used it again last night and for our sound it's the best ever of it's type - by a country mile !
It's got a few echo types in there that the G3 doesn't have which sound very Meazzi-like, not that the others aren't good, but on some of those early Shads tunes the tone of the echoes is important. The Zoom G3 & G3x are brilliant, but this goes a step further for our needs.
It's even got a graphic EQ built in as a stomp box and you can get really close to the Ronnie Gustafson effect that was demonstrated here a few months ago - for around £75 ! ! !
I have just discovered the Zoom MS-100BT (BT stands for Blue Tooth) which has got everything the G3 has - and you can download other stuff from an app that I've loaded, including the extra echo machines that the MS-70CDR has. That said I'm on my way to get one and programme it for my needs. I do need overdrive and compression so it is a better option for me, but it is tiny and easily transported for gigs abroad, these days weight and size are more important than ever. The good news is that these are on sale for under £100.00. Watch this space ! :)

Hi Dave,

As you may remember, you very kindly sent me your G3 patches so I had them to hand when I got my G3. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I trotted off to GAK in Brighton to buy the G3, and came out with MS-70 CDR instead!. And I am so glad I did, it is absolutely brilliant!
So far I have not fully explored all of the delay modules, but find I am favouring the 'Tape Echo' at the moment. I would be interested to learn which ones you like?

Hi Ian, I made some patches using some of the ones that aren't on the G3x, one of them is the Lo Fi delay, another is the Carbon Delay and there's the Dual Digital too. I am able to hear that 'chatter' that was part of the Meazzi sound and with careful tweaking have got those patches that I did on the Zoom G3 to sound even better. It's to do with the tone of the echo repeats, not the original guitar sound.
I picked up the Zoom MS100BT yesterday and I had a couple of hours with it last night, programming those Shadows patches along wth my other sounds that I use in the shows, such as a Gary Moore 'Parisienne Walkways' tone amongst them. The MS100BT has the same stuff as the G3 and because it's equipped with BLUE TOOTH you can get the Zoom App for that model and download extra effects, some new, but more importantly the ones that are on the MS-70CDR that I mentioned above. For me it is perfect, as I have everything that I need in a tiny pedal. I will be working on it today and when I'm satisfied that I have got it right, my G3x and MS-70CDR could well be up for grabs with my patches installed. :)
