OK, so that's three so far. And I'll probably buy two sets out of the (minimum order) twenty-four (as long as they're flatwound).

It's Howard at Oasis who can make it happen and he's in California at the moment (I didn't go this year because the Guitar Geeks Festival has been discontinued). I'll take it up with him when he gets back.

OK... the word is that a custom gauged set of flatwounds for the Bass VI (or similar) is likely to cost £45 a set at the sharp end. That's a better price than the La Bellas and you can even have an initial input into the gauge selection.

As stated above, the order from the manufacturer is 24 sets minimum.

Who would be interested in a set (or maybe even two) at that price?

I really only need one set for spares now Jim. If the gauges will be the same as the La Bellas (026, 035, 044, 055, 075, 095) then I'll commit to a set. I'm really pleased with the La Bellas by the way which give Jet's sound perfectly.

By the way, thanks for researching this.

Jim

Put me down for a set of the strings - I would like to see how they compare with the lighter gauge ones on my Burns Barracuda Special.

Best wishes

Just fitted La Bella's to my Squier VI... Much improved an the bass E intonates and resonates properly.

Had to,open out the nut for the 6th string a little, and squash the silk end of the 6th string in order for it to fit into the machine head post.

Higher action but better sound...
