Regarding the 2004 Marvin at originally around the £700 mark.
You see a lot of good 2nd hand ones advertised on E Bay where the
sellers seem to want around £1000- £1100
Fair enough when prices within 12 years have risen with costs and inflation.
However more supply than demand is the problem, especially now as a
generation who want them have got them by now.
I personally would be happy to recoup the original price paid, I will
forgo profit for years of enjoyment and tightening that trem arm!!!!

If you bought a Marvin for £700 in 2004 you were lucky, as mine (which sadly I no longer have) cost me £749.
Anyway chaps I'd be grateful if you kept quiet about the current prices of these, as I have a friend who's got one and I'm trying to persuade him to sell it - and I don't really want to pay a grand.
