Try these, stick one to your pleck and it should provide plenty of grip.

Cheers

Because I have a problem with my hands (I've lost strength in them) I find it hard to grip picks, so I thought I would try Noelford's tip and try some 'Cactus picks'.
I looked them up and the UK supplier was out of stock so I thought for $23 (£16) I'll get a box of 100 from USA. So I processed it through my PayPal account. When I got to the final checkout my bill was for $2300.00 WHAT?!!! $2300.00?...... I nearly ordered a hundred box's of 100..........instead of ONE box of a 100!

Regards,
Baz.

Look at it this way, Baz – with that many, you never need bother picking up a dropped plec again.

Thanks Noel,
Thats one way of looking at it! But I'm hoping that I can hold on to them a bit longer. I've never bought picks in bulk before but at 72 years old I thought 'what the hell' go for it!

I was quite happy to play with my fingers until about 4 years ago. This was born of idleness ,frankly too idle to get the bugger out of my pocket.
Following a carpal tunnel operation on my right hand I lost all useful co-ordination between my thumb and fingers ( still not right, 4 years on ! ) and had to revert back to using a pleck.
I now use unfailingly , Alan Bakewell plectrums, admittedly costly at £1 each but better than shattered knees if I don't...... bless him.

Hi they are ordered from Czech Republic but you can only buy them in batches of 72. I've just brought two bags so pm me your address and I'll send you some

Thanks

John Pearse Buffalo Sarod Horn - got the grip and the tone of the old tortoiseshell picks - good for both rhythm and lead, and you will not drop it or wear it out !

All the best,

Nick
