Hi all I bought a Quadreverb GT off a shadows guitarist but I'm a bit worried as I bought it with EFTP loaded and I was wondering will I lose all the patches if I need to replace the Battery. Great full for any advice.

You need to register it with Charlie Hall (find his details on the forum 'Charlie Hall & Friends'). He'll need the serial number and once he accepts you as the new owner he'll then explain the process to you.

you will lose patches but you can download them to a dump tool like this one
http://www.stecrecords.com/?RecordId=372 or other safe place first. you also need the cable to connect computer to gt. a usb midi interface the edirol um-1x is a really good one if you can find one. but the batterys last for years as a rule so I wouldn't worry to much. but as has been said if you register it with charlie hall and its not a pirate copy and you didn't buy it on ebay he should give you back up. peter

There is a Method of changing the internal battery
without losing the memory.
this requires another battery being temporarily connected to the quad before removing
the old battery.
