I can't speak for the Zoom G3X, but I have set up some really useable echoes on my Zoom G2 pedal by combining two different echo modules to get multiple triple echoes etc, & saving for Shads patches.
However, I have owned a nice '50s Classic Player' Strat for about 6-7 years now. It is a very good quality, guitar, with a very stable trem bridge & comes with Fender USA vintage pickups, as installed in the USA Reissue series guitars. So, it sounds like an excellent combination to me.

Tony.
