Burns Orbit 6 amplifier

Postby Billyboygretsch » 18 Oct 2014, 09:36

I have a Burns Orbit 6 amp which is suitable for restoration. This is too big a project for me. The cabinet is in good condition but it needs a new speaker grille. The amp works and is very loud. However there is a problems with the pre amp. Channel 1 works. Channel 2 works but crackles and tremolo doesn't work. Channel 3 doesn't work. It has 3x12" Fane speakers which are good. Not all the control knobs are original.
As stated repairing this is beyond my capabilities and I am considering breaking for spares.
Before I do that If anyone would like to take the project on I am happy to donate. It would need collection - you think a Supertwin is heavy. Either way the amp gets restored or hopefully helps to keep some others alive.
If interested in taking forward please PM me and I can take pictures if required
