It's amazing how we all go round in circles chasing a particular sound and without listing everything I've had, I too now use a Superchamp XD (with a Ragin Cajun speaker upgrade) and a Gemini 3 (which I got from eBay) and it sounds superb. Whatever echo unit I use in front of that, it's quite easy to adjust the input to get that slight breakup/overdriven sound as in the early stuff. So for less than £500, (£125 amp, £40 gemini, £125 Simon Neil Squier and £85 Original Magicstomp) you can achieve a good sound, so why spend silly money on a Meazzi when even the so called experts can't get a good sound from them. :D

I second that Al.
I've listened to loads of Meazzis at the Hankies club and they all sound crap.
Likewise Binsons.

Most of us at the Hankies play through Roger Busbys 1974 transistor amp fitted with a cracking speaker. With two Marshall echo pedals and a bit of EQ on a Boss Eq pedal and I hear the sounds we want from that set up. Just great for live playing i'd say. Some great sounds and complimentary comments from some folks and not a tape echo or a Vox valve amp in sight ! :D
