I can think of a great rendition of Wonderful Land that was done on a Vox Tonelab in recent months albeit with a authentic tape echo unit which tends to show it is achievable. I would say that whether you use a Vox AC30/15 or a modeller then the EQ and finishing touches are still required to match a studio recording because that is what they did !

I have a Tonelab and a AC30 and the AC30 is for me the winner .... warm and full ... The Tonelab needs a little extra nursing to get to the tones but they are in there ... I still love that ef86 chl and that's what I go to more often than not .

hi, can you point me in the direction of the wonderful land version you mention so i can have a listen. do you know the echo used. theres a version posted on here which is as good as any ive heard, yet it hasnt recieved one commemt. while others not as good got lots. i cant understand it.he/she must be thinking the same. im sure they will think twice before posting another one. it shouldnt happen. even constructive criticism is better than none. regards tony,
