I guess this was the news that we were all expecting but wishing that it would never come.

Fond memories of Brian. He always had time for everybody; and encouragement for players of all abilities. A great ambassador for Shads music, for all music. And, most of all, he was a really nice man.

Love and sympathy to Babs and Dave.

I was privileged to know and work with Brian and have fond memories of our time together gigging with Past Masters and recording one of his albums in my studio, as well as the many 'rubys' we enjoyed at various Asian restaurants around the UK. We had some happy times, RIP.

a very sad day. Such a lovely man who was a friend to many and made himself so accessible giving so many fans the opportunity to play and know a real shadow! The Shadows music scene wouldnt have been the same without him. God bless.

I remember Brian closing many of the Dutch International Cliff Richard & The Shadows Fan Meetings in Berkel-Enschot. He always said a few positive words and played an instrumental version of Andrea Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye". He also played it as a tribute to the passing of Jolanda Moen, Jet Harris and Joop Moen. An aunt of mine passed away eight years ago and we used Brian's version of "Time To Say Goodbye" from his "Harmonically Yours" album during her funeral. I guess all we can do now, is play the same track to him as a tribute. May you rest in peace Brian...
