Hank's Wikipedia page - Shads concerts in 2000s

Hi everyone

I noticed this on Hank's Wikipedia page:

Marvin and the Shadows reformed for a 2004 Final Tour, and a 2005 European tour was also undertaken. In 2007, he joined the Shadows for two performances in Germany. The final Shadows-only performance to date was a further performance in Austria in 2010. Cliff Richard and the Shadows performed the final tour dates between 2008 and 2010.


I didn't know about the Shadows-only performance in Austria or the 2007 performances in Germany - if that's accurate.

I know they played without Hank for Albert Lee's 70th in 2014 and that remains the last Shads appearance as far as I know unless you count the documentary appearance in 2020.

Still holding out for a final appearance at the 70th Platinum Jubilee Party at the Palace though!

The Shadows did their own final tour in the Spring of 2004 with the European leg taking place in the Spring of 2005. In late 2008, Cliff Richard & The Shadows performed at the Royal Variety Performance. In the Autumn of 2009 they undertook their final reunion tour in the UK and Europe, with further concerts in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in the Spring of 2010.
I have never heard of Shadows-only shows in Germany in 2007 and one in Austria in 2010. Hank, Bruce and Brian and also Jet and Licorice did participate in Marty Wilde's 50th anniversary show in 2007 at the London Palladium though.

2007: Bruce Welch performed on several occasions in Germany with his Bruce Welch's Shadows as part of "Oldie's Night" concerts. (23.+24. March in Stuttgart, 26.10. in Berlin, 17.11. in Cologne, 29.12. in Bremen)

2010: Krone Superhit Festival - Shadows feat. Bruce Welch (8.10. in Vienna)

Ah, that clarifies the matter. Thank you for your information Ulrich! Someone must correct this on Wikipedia.

Another example of misinformation being the downside of the internet...
