The sound of an artist can change, so I would say even if The Shadows' sound changes, they are still The Shadows.

One that popped into my head and isn't very well known on the album FHBB&J - Let me take you there. Very different style.

There’s quite a lot on the brilliant “Shadow Music” LP which is substantially different.

Not quite what you are looking for, but here is a little anecdote.
In the 80s and 90s I played in hotels around Blackpool. Between
sets I did a music quiz which included the shads folky songs. (Little Bitty Tear etc.)
In almost twenty years nobody guessed it was them. Happy days

Think that's my favourite of the 60's albums.

Would have to add Spider Juice, Hank veering into almost metallic territory! It is also popular with DJs and the drum intro is a popular break to sample.

Ah, but didn't Hank play piano on it? So, tongue in cheek, it does have a Hank sound!

You could say the same thing about Stand Up And Say That and Kinda Cool.

It says 'Brian on piano' on the LP sleeve. Apart from the Marvin/Farrar LP, I don't think Hank played keyboard again (after Stand Up and Say That and Kinda Cool) on record until his Words and Music LP in 1982, although I used to have a recording of him playing Let It Be on piano with Marvin, Welch, Farrar. And of course, he used to play Bachelor Boy with Cliff.

Thanks, Clive, I stand corrected. My LP has long since disappeared and I only have the French Magic CD which doesn't show the original sleeve notes.
